Music Director
Wes Hansmeyer is a 1996 graduate of Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, NE, where he earned his Bachelor of Music in Choral Music Education. He went on to complete his Master’s in Educational Leadership from Doane College in Crete, NE, in 2006. Now in his 30th year of teaching—and his 22nd year at Norris High School—Wes continues to enjoy working with students through a wide range of vocal music opportunities.
At Norris, Wes directs Titan Singers, Titan Chorale, Titanaires Choir, Gold, 68th Street Singers, Titanaires Show Choir, Unified Choir, Piano Class, and both the 7th and 8th Grade Choirs. He also co-directs the high school fall musical and the middle school spring musical.
In addition to his work in education, Wes served as Director of Music at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church and First United Methodist Church, where he led choirs, collaborated with worship leaders, and helped foster meaningful musical experiences in worship. Wes feels truly blessed for the opportunity to serve alongside the staff, musicians, and congregation at Westminster Presbyterian. He looks forward to sharing in worship, growing in faith together, and using music as a way to glorify God and strengthen the church community.
Wes is married to Jane and is the proud father of two sons—Marcus (12) and Thomas (18).
