  • Our speaker, Bob Henrickson, is the Horticulture Program Coordinator of the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum, host of KZUM’s How’s It Growin’?—and BFF to Nebraska’s bees and butterflies. If you participated in the Creation Celebration bioswale walk (and delicious lunch) at Fireworks a couple years ago, you’ll remember. Bob as our knowledgeable and entertaining guide. Let Bob’s enthusiasm help you catch the buzz.

• June 1 – Glenna’s Report on United Nations Commission on the Status of Women

• June 15 –  Rev. Dr. Jimmy Shelbourn’s presentation based on “Immigrant’s Song” from Scotland and Ireland, reflecting on emigration from one’s home.

• June 22 – Forgiveness Part 1
  • Presbyterian pastor Timothy Keller’s book, Forgive- Why should I and how can I? is a Biblical and systematic look at a simple and amazingly difficult faith practice. Historical and recent events are discussed in the book and our June 22 and 29 classes will provide opportunities to unpack the complexities of common societal and personal experiences with forgiveness (or lack of it). Keller’s book is summarized and used as a guide to discussion.
