WPC Children & Youth Ministry

Welcome to Westminster Presbyterian’s Children & Youth page. We are glad you found us. Here at WPC, our aim is to create a place where our children learn they are loved by God and the people of God; to teach Bible stories in memorable and positive ways so that they become life-long lessons, developing in meaning as each student grows; and to help our children and youth grow deep spiritual roots.

However you define family, you are welcome in ours. Throughout the year, Westminster sponsors a variety of family activities. You are invited to join in any or all of these activities to have fun and build lasting relationships. Sundays at WPC | 10:00 AM-11:00 AM

We offer child care for children preschool age and younger in the nursery. The nursery is located on the second floor by the east entrance and is available from 9:45 a.m.-11:15 a.m. on Sunday mornings. 

Children of all ages are always welcome in “big church” any time. We have special worship activity bags available at the entrance to the sanctuary.

W3 Welcome to Westminster on Wednesdays: Fellowship, Fun, and Faith | 5:30-8:00 PM

Our mid-week gathering every Wednesday night provides a fantastic and consistent opportunity for children and teenagers to connect with their peers in a safe, engaging, and faith-filled environment. It’s a key part of our weekly ministry designed to help young people build strong friendships and grow in their understanding of God.

The core programming for our Children & Youth Groups runs from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and is open to children and teens ranging from kindergarten through high school. The evening is carefully planned to balance high-energy activities with meaningful spiritual instruction and discussion.

For those who wish to arrive early, the facility opens at 5:30 PM. This pre-program time is designated for open gym and free time, allowing kids to burn off energy, socialize, and casually connect with friends before the structured activities begin.

A vital part of our gathering is sharing a meal together. A free dinner is served at 6:00 PM. This communal meal fosters a sense of family and belonging, ensuring that all participants are nourished and ready to focus on the evening’s lessons and activities.

Each age group participates in tailored programming, including age-appropriate Bible lessons, small group discussions led by caring adult mentors, and engaging games that reinforce the evening’s theme. Our goal is for every child and teen to leave feeling valued, encouraged, and more deeply rooted in their faith.

Parents are welcome to join us for dinner at 6:00 PM for a time of fellowship.

Activities are available for preschool children on Wednesdays with advance notice. Let Trish know by email trish@westminsterlincoln.org or by phone or text at 402-570-0163 by 5:00 PM on Tuesday to make arrangements.

Get ready for a night of frights, fall fun, and fellowship! The youth group is taking on Roca Scary on Saturday, October 18, and you won’t want to miss it. We will meet at the entrance at Roca Scary

KidCon II: Cake, Costumes, & Major Discoveries! | October 25, 10:00 AM

Faith has never been this much fun! Come experience KidCon II at 10 AM on Sunday, October 25 at Westminster Presbyterian. KidCon is an exciting adventure where kids can grow in faith and make lasting memories.

Here’s what’s in the lineup:

• The Great Disguise: Wear your Halloween costume or borrow one from our costume closet.
• Play “Is It Cake? Can you spot the real deal from the optical illusion
• Meet Special Guests: Step into the stories of 3 Bible-times outcasts who met Jesus
• Discover that God doesn’t judge by the outside. He sees you, loves you, and welcomes you in!

After KidCon, we’ll share caramel apples with a variety of carefully curated toppings.

Spooktacular | October 28, 5:30 PM-7:00 PM

On Wednesday, October 28 from 5:30-7:00, put on your best costume and come to Fellowship Hall at WPC to play games, trick or treat, and have a frightfully fun evening.

Here are some of the activities you can look forward to:

• Photo Booth
• Food 
• Giant Games – Spikeball, Pong, Connect 4, Jenga
