DESCRIPTION:Adult Education: The 1563 Heidelberg Catechism \nTwo years ago\, Westminster Adult Education began a series about the 1563 Heidelberg Catechism.  One lesson into the 6 week series and COVID hit; the class was suspended. \n\nWe plan to return to that series\, beginning again with Lesson 1\, on February 13 at 10:40 a.m.  after worship.  It is based on the book Body and Sou; Reclaiming the Heidelberg Catechism by M. Craig Barnes\, President of Princeton Theological Seminary.  The catechism is a deeply personal statement of faith with surprisingly contemporary guidance for Christians today.  Pastor Jimmy will lead the class.

Session will re-evaluate these plans following the February 1st community update. Last Friday\, our local leaders asked for faith leaders (such as elders on session) to lead our community with wise decision-making as the Omicron surge reaches unprecedented levels\, and so a session meeting was called with guidance from our COVID Task Force. \nIf you have not experienced a worship service via our new livestreaming system\, these are two great weeks to watch for the first time! \nThis Sunday\, January 23rd\, will be our “Tree Sabbath” service with lessons and hymns that celebrate God’s creation with a focus on trees. DESCRIPTION:Read our Sanctuary Guidelines here and join us in the Sanctuary on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. if you feel comfortable in doing so.\nIn light of our ‘greatest’ call as Christians to love our neighbor\, and with a continued mindfulness toward Lincoln Lancaster Health Department and city recommendations\, Westminster’s Session has approved moving to virtual worship for two Sundays (January 23rd and 30th). Session will re-evaluate these plans following the February 1st community update. Last Friday\, our local leaders asked for faith leaders (such as elders on session) to lead our community with wise decision-making as the Omicron surge reaches unprecedented levels\, and so a session meeting was called with guidance from our COVID Task Force. \nIf you have not experienced a worship service via our new livestreaming system\, these are two great weeks to watch for the first time! \nThis Sunday\, January 23rd\, will be our “Tree Sabbath” service with lessons and hymns that celebrate God’s creation with a focus on trees.
