DESCRIPTION:Each week\, Westminster’s worship service is streamed live on YouTube\, engaging a view audience anywhere between 50 and 100\, on average. This is an important calling in our church\, as we know folks watch our services from Lincoln to Florida to France! We are currently looking for 2-4 additional volunteers to help us have a more robust rotation for A/V\, with the goal of having two people in our booth each Sunday. This task does include monitoring our sound board for in-house and online levels. We are offering a “come and see” session after worship on Sunday\, September 25. DESCRIPTION:Earth Care and Creation Celebration 2024 \nCongratulations\, Westminster\, on being certified for the eleventh time as a PC(USA) Earth Care Congregation. This status speaks to the serious commitment that Westminster has made to care for God’s earth. To become an Earth Care Congregation\, our congregation has affirmed an Earth Care Pledge to integrate environmental practices and thinking into our worship\, education\, facilities\, and outreach. \nBeginning April 14th and continuing through May 12th we will be celebrating God’s creation—and our call to earth care—through many aspects of church life. Although our small green team\, Green@Heart\, coordinates much of Westminster’s earth care\, this is truly a commitment of the entire congregation.

DESCRIPTION:Easter Worship is at 8 am & 10 am this Sunday. \nFollowing the 8:00am service\, the Children and Youth and Church Life Committees invite you to take a little time to enjoy conversation and home baked cinnamon rolls in the Garden Room. \n\n\n\nEaster – Luke 24:1-12 “And I Hope” \n“Christ is risen! Alleluia!” is our song of praise on Easter\, but on the first Easter there was a mix of uncertainty and caution amongst moments of praise. Considering the disciple Peter this Easter\, can we be people who will run toward hope – toward the empty tomb\, even after our own biggest failures\, losses and fears? On Easter\, the empty tomb\, the discovery by the women\, and Peter’s rush to see it all show that we can always begin again\, too.

As the disciples felt the water as Jesus washed their feet\, tasted the gifts of grain and grape and the seder meal\, and felt the cool of the air as they moved toward the Garden of Gethsemane with Jesus… all senses were engaged. Our service will be less about hearing a sermon and more about experiencing community together\, preparing our hearts to go forth with love our song\, love our voice\, and love our calling.
