The Gospel According to Scrooge

Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol is a much beloved Christmas classic. We all know the story well. Yet it is easily possible for our long familiarity with the broad strokes to obscure the fine details that made it a classic in the first place. What is the gospel Dickens proclaims and how does he proclaim it? Does the churchs understanding of gospel even apply? Lets re-read this perennial favorite together and discuss it over four Wednesdays in Advent (Nov. 30 and Dec. 7, 14, & 21). Perhaps it will help us, too, awaken on Christmas morning and chuckle till we cry.  Well meet in the lounge from 6:30-7:30 pm, right after WOWs Wednesday night dinner.
