          Taizé Worship Tonight
This evening's Taizé worship will include prayer, candlelight, scriptures, silence and music. It may be the perfect way to end your Sabbath. All are welcome.


Summer Choir is taking a break during July and will resume in August. Please consider sharing your talents and developing your gifts. Come to Fellowship Hall at 9:30 to rehearse for 10:30 a.m. worship.

        Garden Fair
Don't take this wrong - the Garden Fair table people see you walking out to your car without even a glance our way. What's that supposed to mean? You don't like fresh produce? You don't like flowers? You don't believe in missions? People are bringing in some wonderful garden bounty. Shopping at the Garden Fair table is a fun, important thing to do.

Westminster Bible Class - Parlor
          Join us in July as we study "The Images of Christ" in the
          Gospel. A special leader each Sunday shares the lesson
           with fellow Christians. Parrish McDonald is leading the

"CROSSROADS"

           18-35.  The class is based on three themes: Study,
           Community Building, and Service.

       Men's Tuesday Fellowship Breakfasts
Men of all ages are invited to a Continental breakfast each Tuesday morning at 6:40 ($2 & FREE to 1st Timers) in the parlor. A program follows at 7:00. We dismiss by 8:00. This Tuesday Rev. Ellen Davis will present a Bible

The new sound system is almost completely wired in. The old heating/air conditioning units have been removed and hauled to the salvage yard. Your gifts to the Second Century Campaign have made this possible.

  Small Group Fall Study-Just Around the Corner!
Small Group Ministry is pleased to announce that the theme for Westminster's fall small group study is "Stories of Faith, Hope and Love." This exciting 6-week study is scheduled to begin the week of September 14th. If you are interested in learning more about joining a small group, or leading a small group, please contact Kathy Collins at 420-9205 or

              Outreach to Matt Talbot Kitchens
Westminster volunteers will serve the evening meal at Matt Talbot Kitchens on August 1. The menu will include meatloaf, tatertots, frozen vegetables, fresh fruit salad, milk and other beverages. We need your help. The cost for serving 125 people is $200.00. We need 20 families, each willing to donate $10.00 (or more) to pay for the meal. If you are one of the "select 20", please designate your donation to "Outreach - Matt Talbot." If more than $200 is collected, the extra funds will be used on October 3, our next serving date. To volunteer to shop for groceries or cook, please call Marilyn Maude at 483-7381. To volunteer to serve the meal, please call Barbara McCall, 202-6242, or stop by the table in the garden room today.   Clean Up Team Headed to Iowa August 8th - 10th Would you like to help the many people who have lost their homes from flooding in Iowa? If you are interested in being part of a clean-up team, working through Presbyterian Disaster Assistance August 8th, 9th and 10th, please contact Edison McDonald. 18th Annual Paint-A-Thon
The Ministry of Outreach is looking for volunteers to help paint a house on Saturday, August 9th. The 18th Annual Paint-A-Thon is looking to expand on their 658 homes that have been painted so far and would like to paint an additional 40 homes this year. Westminster has participated in the past and we are looking to form a team to celebrate the good work thousands of volunteers have done for this community. This is a great mission project that requires only a few hours of your time. To volunteer or provide financial support, contact Bob Michaud at bmich4@neb.rr.com  or 423-7046.

          Young Adult Volleyball Extravaganza
The Young Adults of Westminster are planning a volleyball extravaganza on August 10th, 5:30 p.m. at Holmes Lake Park. Watch the Vine and Messenger for more information.

2nd Annual Genesis Sunday Book Sale
Bring your books by August 18th to the library to sell at the 2nd Annual Genesis Sunday Book Sale on August 24th.

Senior High to go on Religious Pilgrimage
The Senior Highs are going on a religious pilgrimage -- to the land of Luther and Calvin. Next March during spring break, they will travel to Switzerland and Germany to explore the roots of the radical Reformation that gave birth to the Presbyterian Church. So far, we have more than twenty youth and adults signed up. We have room for a few more. If your high school student is interested, please contact Betsy Guyer, Dr. McDonald or Marge soon.
